  • August 30th – Bookwomen

    Join our member book club, “Bookwomen” in August as they read and discuss “Make Your Home Among Strangers” by Jennine Capo Cruce.

    A New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice, winner of the International Latino Book Award for Best Latio-themed Fiction 2016, Longlisted for the 2015 Center for Fiction First Novel Prize.

  • Dining Out – Member Event

    Join us for a fun filled night with Dining Out.  August 16th at 7:00 pm we will meet at San Marcos Mexican restaurant at Alamance Crossing for a night of fun and good food.  All members are invited to attend.  If you have a guest that would be interested in joining the WRC, please feel free to register them and bring them along!  Click here for more info and to sign up!

  • July 26th – A Man Called Ove

    Join Bookwomen as the read “A Man Called Ove” by Fredrik Backman.  Bookwomen is a member group that meets the last Wednesday of each month to read and discuss a novel. Great discussions and lots of fun. Call for more information!

  • Dining Out for June

    It’s time again for our member dining out event.  This month we will be dining at Pandora’s Pies in Elon.  Pandora’s Pies has been a great supporter of the WRC and we would like to show our support by dining out with them!  Join us on Thursday June 15th at 5:30.  All attendees will be responsible for their food and beverage.  Come out for a relaxing evening, meeting new friends and reconnecting.  Click here to sign up now!

     

  • Bookwomen April 26th

    Bookwomen will meet on April 26th to discuss the novel, “The Cuckoo’s Calling” by Robert Galbraith.  Join us for the suspense of a story about a troubled model that falls to her death from a snow-covered balcony.  Her brother has his doubts about the accident and calls in private investigator Cormoran Strike.  A gripping, elegant mystery!

  • Bookwomen January 2017

    WRC’s book club “Bookwomen” will open the 2017 season with “I am Malala” by Malala Yousafzai.

  • Recognizing our Volunteers

    Debarah Wilson is one of five winners of the 2016 United Way of Alamance Volunteer Award.  She was honored for her volunteer work here at Women’s Resource Center. Debarah has volunteered with WRC since 2002, putting in 217 hours!  Click here to learn more.

  • Art and Dinner

    Join us on October 11th at 5:00 pm.  Women’s Resource Center members are invited to meet at the Alamance Arts at 213 South Main Street in Graham to tour the Dale Chihuly Venetian Glass Exhibit.  We will also have dinner just across Main St. at the La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant. The exhibit is free and members will pay for their dinner.

    italian-foodInterested in getting to know more members and eating! Women’s Resource Center is having our monthly Dining Out at Mosca’s (the new South Church Street location) on Thursday Oct 27th at 5:30 pm.

    Come out and relax and unwind and make new friends.  Feel free to bring a guest and as always, new members are welcomed!!
