Who We Are
The Women’s Resource Center was established in 1991 to address the need for programs and services specifically for women in Alamance County and to provide a center conveniently located to serve as a clearinghouse for information for all women in the community. The Women’s Resource Center in Alamance County is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization that serves Alamance County as well as parts of the surrounding counties of Caswell, and Person. The WRC’s 375+ members and volunteers support the needs of women in our community and work collectively to empower women and enrich their lives.
What We Do
The Women’s Resource Center’s mission is simple. We empower women to improve and enrich their lives. We provide programs and services to meet many of the diverse needs of women from professional networking and business development opportunities to supporting, coaching and mentoring those facing challenging life transitions so that all can reach their potential.
Why This Matters
A community is strengthened by women leading self-sufficient and productive lives. That is WRC’s vision that drives the work we do. And that is why our work matters!
