DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome Amal Khdour as our Speaker this Month. \nAmal Khdour has been a dedicated member of the Alamance County community since 2004. A passionate humanitarian and tireless advocate\, she has led numerous efforts to support local refugee families and neighbors in need—organizing food and clothing drives\, volunteering in the Alamance-Burlington School System\, and actively engaging in interfaith initiatives through the Burlington Masjid. \nIn 2009\, Amal founded the Al-Aqsa Community Clinic\, a free healthcare clinic originally based in Greensboro. As the clinic’s impact and reach grew\, it relocated to Burlington in 2017. Today\, Al-Aqsa continues to serve uninsured individuals who fall outside the coverage of Medicaid and Medicare. Entirely volunteer-run\, the clinic is a vital lifeline for many in the community\, offering compassionate\, no-cost care to those who need it most. \nAmal’s commitment to service reflects a deep belief in community\, dignity\, and access for all. \nTickets Available Here
