- “Savvy Women Act Their Wage”
Pinnacle Wealth Partners in conjunction with the WRC, provides quarterly Financial Literacy summits which are designed to engage women in an open dialogue about various financial topics and to educate women further about financial matters with the intention of empowering women to make wise financial decisions. This seminar will be held at “It’s All Good: Southern Kitchen” located at 2306 South Church Street. This summit will be held on Thursday October 19th. - Persuasive Letter Writing for High School Students Applying to College
Women’s Resource Center is pleased to offer this three part workshop, taught by Elon University Professor, Betsy Stevens. This workshop will teach the skills needed to develop a top level college application letter. This is a great opportunity to stand out from the crowd in your college search! The classes will be held here at the Women’s Resource Center on Thursday evenings in October. The dates are Oct. 5th, Oct 12th, and Oct 26th. Times will be 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. There is a fee of $5.00 per class, but scholarships are available.

- Leslie Flowers – 5 Networking Skills That Will Get You Heard!
Back by popular demand, Leslie Flowers, Trailblazer for Women in Business will host a free workshop in September that you cannot afford to miss. Leslie will explain the 5 top networking skills that will give you a voice that is heard at the conference table, even if it is full of men! - September Breaking Up and Moving On
Attorney Whitney Stanley will host a conference call on Tuesday evening, September 12 at 6:30 pm. You can call in and ask her questions about separation, child custody or divorce. Whitney will give you an overview of this process to help you navigate the transition. This call can be made from the privacy of your home, car, or office. Our popular and fun filled workshop – Car Care Clinic for Women – is schedule for September! Come out and join us for a fast paced learning experience and find out how you can take control of your car maintenance without emptying your wallet! Thomas Tire and Automotive located at 3445 South Church Street will give us the inside scoop on how to make good car maintenance decisions! We are scheduled for Tuesday September 19th at 5:30 pm. - Art and Dinner – Member Opportunity
The WRC would love for our members to join us on Wednesday September 20th for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. We will be meeting at the Alamance Arts for a private tour of the Jill Troutman exhibit. Jill is a local artist who has been painting in Alamance County for 40 years. After the exhibit we will travel a short distance to Chapel Hill to dine at the Nantucket Grill. The exhibit is free and each member will pay for their own menu choices. This event is for members, but if you have a friend who would like to join, please bring them along! We do ask that you sign up in advance so that we can make reservations.
