  • Write – In: Your time to create!

    WRC is happy to announce our second “Write In”.  Join us as we come together to spend some time writing, sharing, and encouraging one anther.  Have you considered writing a blog, a personal journal, a magazine article or even a book?  Bring your creative tools, journal, laptop, whatever you need to our “write in” on Monday July 3rd at 6:00 pm here at the WRC conference room.  Call for more info. or to RSVP.  We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Savvy Women Invest in Children

    Pinnacle Wealth Partners will be hosting the third session of the Women’s Summit networking and financial sessions:  “Savvy Women Invest in Children”  This event will be held on Thursday July the 13th at 5:30 pm at It’s All Good Southern Kitchen.   • Car Care Clinic by Thomas Tire & Automotive

    Automotive repair is the last great frontier for many women.  The Thomas team is changing the game.  Join the Women’s Resource Center at this fun and informative workshop.  We will meet at Thomas Tire and Automotive on South Church Street on Thursday June 22nd at 5:30 pm.  Come out and learn how to manage your car service needs. Follow this link to sign up today!

  • Working Smart – Soft Skills for Workplace Success

    WRC is pleased to announce a new session of Working Smart.  David Grinstead from ACC will offer participants five modules of workplace practices to help you get the job you need and want and how to keep that job or even get promoted!  Join us as we discuss Self Awareness, Self Management, Work Ethics, Communication Skills and Problem Solving Skills. All classes are from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Classes start June 6th and continue until June 29th.   • Breaking Up and Moving On

    If you are going through a divorce, separation or need information on child custody, we will have a teleconference workshop on Tuesday June 13th at 6:30 pm.  Attorney Whitney Stanley will be available by phone to answer your questions.  We have changed to a teleconference format to enhance your privacy and give you more flexibility.  In order to participate, just give us a call and we will explain the process and give you the toll free number and access codes.  The call will allow you to ask questions relating to your personal situation and gather information on how to move forward.

  • Dining Out for June

    It’s time again for our member dining out event.  This month we will be dining at Pandora’s Pies in Elon.  Pandora’s Pies has been a great supporter of the WRC and we would like to show our support by dining out with them!  Join us on Thursday June 15th at 5:30.  All attendees will be responsible for their food and beverage.  Come out for a relaxing evening, meeting new friends and reconnecting.  Click here to sign up now!

     

  • Savvy Women Get Organized

    Join WRC in partnership with Pinnacle Wealth Partners as we learn how Savvy Women Get Organized!  This great session is part of a quarterly Financial Literacy sessions which are designed to engage women in an open dialogue about various financial topics and to educate women further about financial matters with the intention of empowering women to make wise financial decisions.  This fun and informative event will be Thursday April 6th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at It’s All Good:  Southern Kitchen.  Networking with refreshments at 5:30 and the session begins at 6:00 pm

  • Breaking Up and Moving On

    Women’s Resource Center is offering our popular workshop “Breaking Up and Moving On” for women who are facing separation, divorce and child custody issues.  This month to give you greater privacy as well as more convenience we will hold the workshop by phone!  You can call us here at the office, we will explain the process and give you the easy to follow instructions on how to participate in the conference call.  Then on April the 12th at 12:30 pm you will call the number provide and join the call!  You can even call in on your lunch hour!  Attorney Whitney Stanley will answer your questions on this important topic. 

  • Mebane Tech Talk Night

    Please join the WRC in partnership with Alamance For Freedom and the Mebane and Burlington Police Depts. on Wednesday April 12th from 7 pm to 8 :30 pm at the Mebane Arts and Community Center as we discuss what our children are doing online and how to teach them to be smart, safe and respectful digital citizens.  The session is free but you are encouraged to register.
