  • Car Care Clinic for Women – Thomas Tire & Automotive – December 12th

    Join us for our quarterly Car Care Clinic for women.  WRC in partnership with Thomas Tire and Automotive will host this fun and informative workshop.  Learn the lessons you need to know in order to empower your car care decisions.  This workshop will be held on Tuesday December 12th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Thomas Tire on South Church Street.  The workshop is free and open to the public but we ask that you register!  Click here for more info and to register.

  • Holiday Gathering 2017 – December 11, 2017

    Our most popular event of the year!  All members of WRC are invited to attend the Holiday Gathering.  We will meet at the Alamance Arts Captain White house in Graham at 6:00 pm for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship.  We will have great food, wine and other beverages to sample while you shop at the Captain White House Holiday Shop! At 7:00 pm will will have our ornament exchange, where those who wish to participate bring a wrapped Christmas Ornament and we will swap and pick until everyone has a new keepsake for their tree.  The most flavorful part of the night is our Cookie Swap. Your bring 6 dozen of your favorite recipe and swap them for 5 dozen treats from fellow bakers!  This event is for members, but you are welcome to renew your membership at the door.  You may also bring a guest who is interested in joining.

    The WRC is happy to be hosting this workshop!  Catherine VonFange, a NC licensed health insurance agent will be available for 30 min. appointments to help you navigate the Healthcare Marketplace for 2018.  These appointments are free and there is no obligation.   • Breaking Up and Moving On

    Join us on Tuesday November 14th at 12:30 for a conference call with Attorney Whitney Stanley, as she answers your questions about child custody, separation, and divorce.  The call can be made from the privacy of your home, office or car.  There is no cost for this conference call, but we do ask that you contact our office to register.  We will provide you with the toll free number and access code when you call.  336-227-6900

  • “Savvy Women Act Their Wage”

    Pinnacle Wealth Partners in conjunction with the WRC, provides quarterly Financial Literacy summits which are designed to engage women in an open dialogue about various financial topics and to educate women further about financial matters with the intention of empowering women to make wise financial decisions.  This seminar will be held at “It’s All Good:  Southern Kitchen” located at 2306 South Church Street.   • Persuasive Letter Writing for High School Students Applying to College

    Women’s Resource Center is pleased to offer this three part workshop, taught by Elon University Professor, Betsy Stevens.   This workshop will teach the skills needed to develop a top level college application letter.  This is a great opportunity to stand out from the crowd in your college search!  The classes will be held here at the Women’s Resource Center on Thursday evenings in October.  The dates are Oct. 5th, Oct 12th, and Oct 26th.  Times will be 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.  There is a fee of $5.00 per class, but scholarships are available.
