Kate Meyer
Associate Director
Kate has always been driven by a passion to serve her community. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in History from Meredith College, she initially pursued a career in retail out of necessity. Over the next two decades, Kate honed her leadership, client relations, and HR skills, rising through the ranks to become a retail store manager. Yet, her desire to make a meaningful impact remained unfulfilled.
In 2020, Kate began volunteering at the Women’s Resource Center in Alamance County, assisting with office support and daily activities. This step marked the beginning of a fulfilling new chapter. She was soon offered a role as Community Outreach Coordinator, managing graphic design, marketing, donor engagement, and volunteer coordination. In 2022 Kate was promoted to Associate Director, where she continues to make a difference.
Kate is a 2022 graduate of Impact Alamance’s Leadership Institute and a member of the 2023 cohort of Alamance Chamber’s Leadership Alamance program. She is also a trained Life Design Catalyst Facilitator and Coach, a role that allows her to empower individuals in their personal and professional journeys. Kate finds immense joy in witnessing the transformative moment when people connect their dreams with a clear path forward, igniting their confidence and purpose.
In 2023, driven by her love of music, entrepreneurial spirit, and a belief in seizing opportunities, Kate and her husband became co-owners of Main Street Vinyl, Burlington’s go-to brick-and-mortar destination for vinyl records. She can often be found there on weekends, sharing her passion for music with the community.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Kate embraces her creative side as an amateur photographer, ambitious DIY enthusiast, unsuccessful backyard gardener, and budget-savvy traveler. Her journey reflects a commitment to growth, community impact, and creative exploration.
