Frame Your Future

Design Your Journey. Define Your Success.

Frame Your Future is a 6-part workshop series created for 11th and 12th-grade young women who are preparing for life beyond high school. This engaging program provides a supportive space for participants to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and develop a clear, personalized vision for their future.

Through interactive activities and guided reflection, participants explore their values, talents, skills, and character strengths while learning how to express them with confidence. The program also introduces life planning tools and encourages the development of courageous self-statements that foster self-belief, resilience, and decision-making skills.

Whether participants are considering college, entering the workforce, or still exploring their options, Frame Your Future equips them with the tools and mindset to move forward with intention and clarity.

This program is presented by the Women’s Resource Center of Alamance County in partnership with Professor Amanda Tapler and Elon University’s 2026 Periclean Scholars, bringing together community leadership and academic insight to support the next generation.

Growing Up and Liking It – For Girls

Growing up is an exciting time—but it can also bring questions, uncertainty, and new experiences for both girls and the adults who care for them. Growing Up and Liking It is a thoughtfully designed workshop that creates a safe, supportive space for girls ages 8–11 and their mothers, caregivers, grandparents, or guardians to learn and grow together.

This interactive program provides age-appropriate education about the physical and emotional changes of puberty, while encouraging open communication and confidence. Participants explore topics such as body awareness, self-care, and what to expect during this important stage of development.

A highlight of the workshop is the opportunity for each participant to create her own personalized Period Pack—a practical and empowering toolkit designed to help girls feel prepared, informed, and confident as they approach their first period.

By the end of the session, both girls and their caregivers leave with increased knowledge, stronger communication tools, and a shared sense of readiness for the journey ahead.
